Mandovi Pellets

Mandovi Pellets was the first pellet plant in India and the largest in Asia when it was commissioned in 1979.

The plant has an annual capacity of 1.8 million tons and is equipped with Lurgi GmbH systems, it is situated by the river Zuari and has its own jetty to unload iron ore fines and load the produced pellets which are transported by barges to the Mormugao harbor where they are loaded on to ocean going vessels for export or on rakes to send to various parts of India.

Mandovi Pellets has geared itself to become a reliable source for high quality Blast Furnace grade and Direct Reduction grade pellets for customers from Western Europe, South Asia and Gulf countries in addition to gas based sponge iron plant customers from India. High standards of quality control ensure that stringent requirements of customers are met, from procurement of iron ore and other raw materials through the different sections of the plant operations till the final shipment.
