The Company has an area of 2,024 hectares on the shoreline  of Hansthal Creek leading to the Port of Navlakhi, Gujarat. It is the single largest totally mechanized Salt Works in the country. The salt Works is designed to produce 500,000 TPA of high purity salt using the solar evaporation technique. Presently the entire production is meant for exports. The unit has a unique geographical advantage of deep water-frontage capable of accommodating vessels with draft upto 9.14 mtrs.

In 1993, the Salt Works installed a 250 Metric Tonnes  per hour salt washery. It has a Single line mesh belt with numerous washing zones. This washing process purifies the raw Salt into international grade Industrial Salt.

The Salt Works can load vessels upto 40,000 Metric Tonnes. The vessels are loaded mid-stream about 1.5 Kms from the Salt Works Private Jetty. The barge-loading jetty has the capacity to load barges at a rate of 900 Metric Tonnes per hour. The berthing jetty platform is 79.40 metres long and has the capacity to accommodate 2,000 DWT barges. These barges carry the Salt to the mother vessel where the vessel's holds are loaded by grab buckets.
