Mandovi Pellets Iron Ore Pelletization Plant was set up in 1979 for production and supply of Blast Furnace Grade Pellets to integrated steel industries. The capacity of this modern plant is 6,000 tonnes per day. It is a well-conceived industrial unit and incorporates efficient de-dusting and pollution control measures.
The required modifications to the plant and machinery were carried out progressively including conversion of dry grinding system of iron ore to Wet Grinding and pressure filters. This is environment friendly. To alleviate the grid power supply, the Company has installed 2 x 6.2 MW Diesel Generating sets. The Company can procure and process different grades of iron ore and blend them in suitable proportions to produce different grades of pellets such as Blast Furnace (BF) grade/Direct Reduction (DR) grade pellets demanded by the customers. |
