Beneficiation plants

Two beneficiation plants, the biggest of their kind have been established at Pale and Costi to process the ore to high grade. The technique utilises primary grinding followed by two stages of hydrocyclonization. Each plant transforms low grade ore contents of 60.5% Fe into high grade of iron ore of plus 64% Fe with a capacity to produce 1 million tonnes of high grade concentrates per annum.

A third Beneficiation plant at Tudou has state-of-the-art Beneficiation technology that has far greater value-addition capability. This plant transforms low grade iron ore contents of less than 40% Fe into high grade of iron ore of plus 67% Fe with a capacity to produce 0.5 million tonnes of high grade concentrates per annum.
